I had contacted Mediation Services to inquire about their process and was given a web site to write in my information where some one would then contact me.

A Cameron Sawyer (agent) for Brad called me and I asked questions-he sent me via email the cost and service. I then discussed with my husband who said no way!

Cameron called me to follow up and I explained the circumstance and was not ready yet-he literally blew up that I had decided not to go with the process! He said for me to remove his contact information and to never call or email him again. My first thought was he sounded and acted just like a collection agency when they don't get their way! I never gave him any reason to believe I was going to move forward with his service-he clearly understood I was only doing my research.

He then called me a 2nd time to babble on about decision makers and he will never talk or communicate with anyone again. My partner and I make all the decisions together. He was very rude and I'm so glad we decided not to go with this 100%!

I was in the wrong here and should not have said what I did. I would actually apologize to her if her characterization was even close to what happened as I saw it. Jennifer had student loans she was concerned about and asked if I could provide her further information from on a client's perspective. I said I had a friend of mine in the program with significant student loans so arranged after taking some time and effort to reach him and ask if he'd agree to talk to her (something I very rarely do). It took 2 or 3 xs to reach him. He agreed to a 3 way call so she could ask him questions directly about his student loan experience with our program. I will say throughout the few calls I had with her she had always been very pleasant. I find most people are straight forward and without my having to make an issue of whether they are instrumental in the final decision or not. In retrospect I should have done so with Jennifer. When I called her back to see what she'd decided she said her husband, who I'd never talked to at all and was not on the 3 way call, said absolutely not or no way. Initially I accepted that but called her back shortly thereafter. Of course I understand she was doing her research but is it to much to expect that you at least be instrumental in the decision? If she'd said we'd decided I would totally understand as that happens all the time. I very calmly without raising my voice at all did say, Would you please throw my name and phone number away and I will throw your information away as I don't' want to do business with you. That was rude and I should not have said it. I'm responsible for the outcome here and is it too much to ask that a person who is asking for me to go out of my way to get them the information they want at least be instrumental in the final decision? The lesson for me to best prevent this type of unfortunate situation from happening again is to get a clear understanding up front as to who the decision makers involved will be and then make sure to they are involved in the process. If I had done a better job of that there would be no need for this report. I do hope Jennifer and her husband find the relief from their student loans they are looking for. As for being Ripped Off, you'll have to ask Jennifer how she got ripped off without as much as $1.00 changing hands.
