Hi there,

Like Effie, who's complaint I did read, I was also contacted by this Kamina Edwards afternoon before last. And I almost bit. But, alas, my savings account is at a maintanence amt. and my checking account is overdrawn. I asked her where they were based out of and when she stated Miami, Fl. my red flags went up.

See, we were ripped off by a company calling themselves CapitalChoice Consumer Credit. Fortunately only for the amt. of the kit which was $50. Then they tried to take two more ACH's out of our acct. one for $33 and one for $99 without our permission and our bank caught it and called me. Well, like you, Effie, I went to the bank and changed my acct.

I contacted the BBB and they stated that this company was a bad risk. The Florida BBB sent me a letter giving me all phone numbers that this company used...10 of which were 800, 877, 888, or 866 and 7 more which were direct dialed. None of these numbers knew anything about this company. Yes, I did, with a purchased calling card, called the direct dialed numbers, too, just to make my case against them. Never have received back my $50 but have been leary ever since.

Well, to continue with Capital First, Kamina kept pressing me for my banking acct. #. I told her that if she would send out something with a physical location and more about their program I would be happy to pay the $29.95 processing fee next week on pay day with a money order. She stated that they could not do that, so I declined. Yesterday morning I received a call from the other woman named, saying that she was calling "cardholders" only.

I told her that I was not a card holder. She insisted that I was. I told her about the conversation I had had with Kamina the day before and how I had declined the offer (just sounded far too suspicious to me, and besides, she had said that I had applied for this card online a few monthe ago, was denied, but that now they had approved it!

Well, I would remember having applied for it first off, and I never received anything stating that I was denied for anything. With already having crappy credit, I don't want to put more bad points on myself by continuing to apply for things I know that I cannot have anyhow. If I cannot pay cash, I don't need it.

This Kamina is a slick one as is her friend. Watch out for them and I hope that these incidents are being reported to the Attorney General as fraud. God bless and all those who have been ripped off, or almost ripped off, be careful. Ask lots of questions.
