Same story, same song, another person who feels scammed. I've had several links that are supposed to lead me to response pages, that never work, don't exist, etc. My references try to respond for some of the requests, instead getting a false link to a site that does not exists.

All the rebuttals I am reading are sounding the same. And since no one here, filing complaints, has returned, saying they were mistaken...I'm believing I too have been caught up in the scam.

I've been responded to with as many as 3 different company names, all with the same name and PO Box in Orlando FL at the bottom of the page. Larry Minetti Human Resources, Career Network, Inc.

The truly scary part...what is going to happen to our information that we have given? Even something as simple as phone numbers & addresses can be misused and cause us damage.

Concerned? You bet I am!

Since it is quite obvious you have read my other rebuttals I won't repeat them here, but rather I will respond to your very specific issues. First, Career Network is a new Web site that is still in its infancy. Since it was launched it has grown exponentially. Whereas this sudden growth spurt is wonderful for business, it's been a tremendous strain on both our services and the site's programming. Every time you, or one of your references, think they are being directed to a site that "doesn't exist," what you are actually reaching is a part of the site that has broken. I assure you, when we do discover the issue our staff works diligently to repair it. In fact, our programming staff works very long hours each week to both repair unforeseen errors in the site's code, as well as improve the site and servers to handle the ever increasing load. With regard to your personal information submitted on our sites: we do not ask for any sensitive personal information such as social security numbers or banking information that could be used to irrevocably harm you. Your contact information will only be transmitted to the HR department for the job for which you are applying; and to our promotional partners if, and only if, you agree to receive information from them. If you do not specifically agree to be contacted by any of our promotional partners, you will not. Not participating will not adversely affect your consideration for the listed position. As I've said before, that decision is made at the employer listing the job and we have no sway or control over it. These promotional partners are in place to keep our services free to both you, the job seeker, and the employers. Now, I understand that on the job seeker end you are perfectly used to not being charged by other job boards such as Monster and Career Builder to use their sites, so this claim doesn't affect you much. However, all of our employers deeply appreciate our free services. Access to Monster's and Career Builder's databases of resumes can cost employers thousands of dollars a month. As the public relations representative of this company, I will continue to visit this site and answer any and all complaints, issues or qualms you or others may have about our Web sites and our services. We are dedicated to providing the best assistance we possibly can for your job hunt. If you have further issues, I can address them here or you can reach us at [email protected] . Thank you for taking the time to voice your opinion. It is valued and we do appreciate it.
