I, too, have received emails from Career Networks about potential jobs but they never state who the companies are, where they are located or really any detail about the jobs that are being offered. I have submitted my info a couple times already, but have yet to hear a peep besides getting my email address filled with more emails from Career Networks for more open jobs. Since the previous posts have been from folks in Florida, it makes me wonder how I could have received these postings since I live here in Kentucky? Seems fishy to me. Also, the responses that Career Networks has posted so far sound only like a canned, no-nothing response designed to get the dim-witted to shut up without really answering any of the questions.

My questions (and I expect a detailed, unique response, please) are as follows:

1) Why do you have inadequate/shady contact info on your website? Every staffing company and job search board I have dealt with in the past has always listed a physical street address, provided a list of company officers (CEO, Directors, Managers, etc.) along with their email and contact info, a telephone number to contact the staffing company directly and at least one -- if not several -- email addresses in order for a prospective client to contact them.

2) How can we know the job postings are legit if you refuse to even list the names of the companies offering the jobs? Every job posting and staffing company I have dealt with previously will at least tell me the name of the company and where the job will be located. That way, I can at least look up the company and know a little about what they do so I don't sound like a fool if I am contacted by them. If the employers you deal with are scared for their privacy so much that they don't want their company name to be listed, then that raises a BIG RED FLAG in my mind.

I would very much appreciate a detailed, unique response to these very valid points. Otherwise, what else am I to assume but that you are out to steal my information for potential fraudulent use in the future. If you really are legit as you claim to be, I do apologize for potentially making things difficult for you, but these are some very valid points that I feel need to be adequately addressed. Also, keep in mind that a response like "we're a new company and we're working to get up to speed" is not an adequate response. You should have been prepared for this before you even opened your doors for business.

Respectfully Yours,

Ted C.

I'd really like to know why. This all just seems so fishy to me. HR Rep from the Career Network: If you represent a legitimate company doing a real service for job seekers, answer the above questions, and post some actual information about your company on your site--i.e. a REAL address, not a P.O. Box, real contact info and names, etc.
