Caribbean Resales Promised to trade Sedona Resort property for Cancun timeshare. Promised to sell Sedona Resort property. Internet
January 25, 2009, my husband and I went to a sales promotion at Sunset Resorts while visiting in Cancun. We already had 3 timeshares and wanted no more unless we could trade one in. They took in trade our Sedona Golf Resort with a promise to sell it. We contracted 15 years by only needing to pay $69 membership fee yearly.
We are allotted 30 weeks in this contract. This contract is through VIP Travel Club. The trade for the Sedona Golf Resort is through Caribbean Resales. They never contacted me as promised, so I contacted them, sent them all the necessary material so the sale of Sedona Resort timeshare could be done. I have contacted them repeatedly through e-mail, always saying what part of the process is in and they'd be contacting me in two weeks. When my membership bill for Sedona Resorts came for the next year, they told me to send it to them and they'd pay it. I have sent it twice, and as of today it is still not paid. I sent them a check July 1, 2009 for $150 for their lawyer fees to sell the Sedona Golf Resort timeshare plus a check for $250 for Diamond Resorts (the parent company for Sedona Golf Resort) for the transfer. Caribbean Resales quickly cashed their $150 but as of today Diamond Resorts have not cashed their $250, because Caribbean Resales have not done their part in the bargain.
I have refused to pay the $69 membership fee or to use VIP Travel Club until this deal is done. After reading the other reports, I'm afraid I'll never see the end. This company appears to not be reputable. What can I do to get this resolved?
