Carnival Cruise Lines Carnival conquest from Galveston, Oct 30, 2005 thru Nov 6, 2005, sewer smell on deck one, backed up showers, caused e-coli illness. If anyone can verify that smell & backup please contact me Miami Florida
Please if anyone was on the Carnival Conquest Oct 30, 2005 - Nov 6, 2005 from Galveston, let me know. The lst deck reeked like sewer and the shower backed up for 4-5 days. Even though we complained, Carnival is disputing that they know nothing of it. Consequently, my husband got e-coli from the shower.
Even if he didn't get sick, this was the worse cruise ever. Our luggage was destroyed by a fork lift, including an evening dress. The purser said it was clearly their fault and would give us a letter to file with Miami and we would be paid up to $165 each piece damaged. Miami home office said "not true" and that they are not responsible for whatever they told to us on the ship. Lying is evidently acceptable to appease passengers while aboard ship.
Bottom line, we need to hear from anyone that can verify that sewer smell on the 1st deck and or anyone who had their shower back up and overflow. Even though a plumber was eventually sent, Carnival claims "no record" of the problem.
