Seeking help from any passengers aboard the Carnival Conquest from Galveston on Oct30, 2005 thru Nov 6, 2005. Carnival is denying the sewer smell on 1st deck and that showers were not draining properly.

Husband contracted e-coli thru small cut on ankle and became ill on 5th day of cruise. Doctors verify it was e-coli that entered blood stream via cut.

Please contact us if you were on that ship or if you know of a mari-time attorney willing to go all the way with Carnival. Right now Carnival is offering 25% off next cruise. Yea, right, as if we would ever set foot on another Carnival ship. The illness was bad enough, but everything else stunk!

First of all, who are you, an employee of Carnival? We didn't realize there was a tiny nick on husband's ankle until the day he became ill. And the answer to your other questions are, Doctors have verified our claim and the only place my husband's feet had been were in that shower! He's a socks and tennis shoe kinda guy and wouldn't be caught on a beach, in water, or in a dingy tourist trap. As far as graciously accept their offer, an apology for all their arrogant lying was not offered. Carnival thinks it can bully anyone and everyone. Withholding the maintanence records of the foul sewer smell and then claiming no record of our complaints doesn't let them off the hook. Tell that to your Carnival buddies!

How can you prove that?

How can you prove your husband contracted E. coli from Carnival? Just because the shower was "backing up" does not mean that this is how your husband got E. coli. Obviously he had a cut on his ANKLE and took no measures to properly cover or otherwise protect this cut. Being on his ANKLE, the cut was exposed to EVERYTHING everywhere he walked. Did you leave the ship when it arrived at ports? Did you walk through some dingy little tourist traps? Did you swim in the ocean? You have no tangible evidence to support your claim, and have demonstrated negligence on your part for not properly caring for the cut in the first place. For Carnival to offer you ANYTHING AT ALL is more than generous of them, and you should graciously accept it and run.

Carnival cruise lines sneaky offer negates further lawsuit action!

Update to husband's e-coli from sewer back-up and non-draining shower. Carnival offered in it's most recent letter to compensate for the luggage and dress it destroyed. All we had to do was sign the enclosed release and recieve the $214 for the damaged property. Reading the release closer, it is not only for the damaged goods, but also for a release for all medical bills, pain & suffering, etc. incurred by my husband, sneaky, huh? They say the only way, we can get copies of their maintainence records for the faulty plumbing and our complaints about the shower is to file a suit. You asked for it, you got it, Carnival!
