We bought $7,000 worth of whole house carpet from CBD. We were emphatic that we wanted a top notch installation crew and were willing to wait on their best only to be told all their crews were "the best". What we got was a 4 man team of young men (the foreman was 23 years old) and they got younger from him. They laid our carpet, not a problem with the carpet itself but after they left we noticed lots of scratches on the wood wanscotting. Way more scratches and hammer marks than one would expect from professional installation.
It was pointed out to the installers without any concern on their part. After sending smartphone photos and a letter to the owner of the company we received no response. A complaint to the BBB was the only answer we have received in way of a response to our online complaint stating we signed a completion certificate "fine job". It was only later and in the light of day did the damage to the wanscotting come into "light". Our complaint is with John's unprofessional approach and the owner Stacey that see no need to personally investigate this issue. The response to the photos sent to them was, it looked like "old damage" to them. The damage wasn't present until their company installed the carpet.
They advertise 100% satisfaction and any problems will and are addressed which in this case is a lie as we have NEVER heard from anyone at CBD. They are fully aware of this problem and choose to do nothing! This company advertises satisfaction guaranteed and low prices and touts expert installation. The crews are paid by the square yard and work many hours past the point of being tired and that is where quality goes down. If we could go back we would never give this company a dime of our hard earned money. Until we hear from the owner this is a true testament that we honestly stand behind. This issue is now 1 year old. Anyone reading this will be doing themselves a favor to shop elsewhere.
