Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Rented from this company for 3 years, have a copy of all repair request which we had to submit multiple time and still had problems getting repairs completed.

We put in our 30 day notice, followed all the rental rules. Left the place very clean and move in ready. Yet they refuse to return our securtiy deposit, of $550.00 Not only will they not return our deposit but want us to pay more.

I still have copies of all the repair request sent to them and pictures of the move out conditions including the copy of our check out where they noted that very little cleaning was needed such as carpet and paint.

I feel they had no intentions to refund the security deposits. I actually submitted a request when I mailed the July rent payment but they would not accept that request so my Husband went by the office on July 7 and submitted which made it official move out date August 7 a $144.00 for the 7 days. I ask during the walk through if that amount can be deducted from the security deposit since we actually moved out on July 24th. Now they dispute that conversation and want us to pay more.

I am the supervisor for this property and completed a check out inspection with the tenants. I noted all cleaning needs and damages with the tenant. The tenant signed the inspection agreeing with the condition of the unit.

It is the policy of Cascade Rental Management Co. to accept a written 30 Day Notice in person, by mail, fax or email. At the time we received the notice we explained the rent would be due for 30 Days from that date regardless of moving out early.

It is also our policy to respond to all maintenance requests in a timely fashion. All charges for maintenance repairs and damages were valid and not caused by normal wear and tear.

These policies and procedures are consistent with all tenants.

Contact the Consumer Protection division of your state's Attorney General's Office.  Every state has one.

You could also contact a local news station, generally they have reporters that are "trouble shooters" and do investigations when consumer rights have been violated.
