I was called by Cash Advance USA.  They assured me that IF I sent in $100, I would receieve a loan of $1000.

When I sent in the $100, they said additional processing fees were charged and they would need an additional 100.  I did not have the money but I pawned my T.V. and my Xbox, I thought if I receive the $1000, I would be able to take it back out.  After sending in the other $100, they said there were problems with the taxes and I would have to send in an additional $100.  By this time I was in tears and had no other money to send them.  When I asked for my money they said it would cost $100 dollars to process everything and receive my full refund.  I was naive and believed them when they told me they promised that I would stay on the phone and everything would be returned.

I borrowed money from a friend and sent in the $100.  When I called them they stayed on the phone with me to assure they recieved the additional $100 and they told me there was another processing problem that would need an additional $100.  I am broke, I thought this loan would help me pay my bills, take care of my children who are sick.  I called them and told them that I wanted to speak to a supervisor they said a supervisor does not speak to customers I began to cry and I told them they stole money and promised they would return it the man said "Sorry, but they would need more money and they promised that was it.  I said they shouldn't treat people like that.  I now owe money and will have my utilities cutt off.

You lost your money - there is no loan. It is a scam.

Cash Advance USA is a scam.  It is called the Advance Fee Loan scam. It isn't legal for a consumer to pay a fee before a consumer loan is issued, that is the first tip that this is a scam. The fact that they asked you to put the fee on a reloadable card and give them the numbers from the card is the second tip that this is a scam.

Go to the FTC(dot)gov website and read up on consumer scams. Report this scammer to the FTC and your Attorney General's office for your state.

It is doubtful that you will see a refund of your money, but it is worth reporting the company. By the way, doesn't matter what the scammer tells you about the refund of your money - they will say anything to get you to send funds to them. In fact, they will keep telling you stories until you catch on that you were scammed OR until you run out of money. That's what they do. Next time a stranger asks for money from you to be placed on a reloadable card, just say no.
