Catholic Max RIP OFF NO MERCHANDISE NO REFUND Stillwater Oklahoma
On May 2, 2006 I placed an order for a cross necklace. I even paid extra to have it shipped USPS Priority Mail. CatholicMax promptly charged my credit card and I waited for the necklace. A month went by, no necklace. I sent NUMEROUS emails to follow up and question why my necklace had not been delivered.
We are now at 3 months, this company has not contacted me in any way. Certainly, by now, they would have had their problems straightened out.
I have turned this over to my credit card company.
I have read the rebuttal that CatholicMax wrote after that last rip-off report stating that they were unavoidably detained in the Philippines earlier this year. THAT'S NICE. But that was BEFORE my order was placed. There is NO EXCUSE to not respond to paying customers.
If your "workers" ruined your business while you were gone. Why didn't you pull your site down while you were working out the problems. Please do not continue to lure unsuspecting customers to your site with the mistaken identity of a Catholic organization. True Catholics would NEVER run their business like this. Also, true Catholics do not "fear" the Lord. We LOVE him.
Their droning on and on about the sisters wedding (who cares how old they are)has absolutely NO bearing on this matter. It sounds like a laundry list of excuses and that's all they are is excuses for THEIR bad behavior. It does not excuse their poor business practices.
I have learned three things from this transaction.
1. NEVER order anything from a site that does not offer telephone ordering or support.
2. NEVER order from a site that does not offer a refund if you are not satisfied.
3. ALWAYS check Rip-off report before ordering anything from a site that you have not done business with in the past.
