Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This website buys used cell phones/laptops and they quoted me a price of $212 for my laptop which is in fantastic condition. Nothing is wrong with the laptop (I take care of my things). I shipped the laptop to them, and I get an email 3 weeks later saying that a "professional" inspected the device and that they would offer me $14.

I called the extremely delusional girl from the websites number, and told her that I do not want their offer. She proceeded to tell me why the offer was that low was because my laptop had no optical drive which in turn, caused the low price of the device. She acted like the laptop is almost worthless because of this. My specific laptop model does not come with an optical drive, yet the girl on the phone said "my supervisor looked the laptop model up and it should come with one." 100% false. I doubt she even knew what an optical drive is. Anyone that knows computers in todays times would know optical drives are extremely outdated in these digital download days and are highly irrelevant. She put me on hold for 3 minutes to talk to her boss. She came back to tell me my usb ports don't work, which is another appalling lie she constructed because she couldn't get away with the optical drive excuse she threw at me.

I don't know if this girl is just dead behind the eyes, or trained to lie and make up these false claims (more than likely both). The girl then bumped up the offer to $60, which is just another blatant insult to me yet again. The condition my laptop is in can go for $230 on Amazon, I checked. I will sell on there after I get my laptop back. I had to tell this girl four times that I do not want this offer of $60. She told me it will cost hundreds of dollars to repair the usb ports and get an optical drive. Yet again another pathetic lie to try and reel me into taking the petty $60.

It's sad to think these waste of lives get away with these scams and lies to less than knowledgeable people when it comes to laptops and other electronics. I am now in the process of waiting for my laptop. Hopefully they do not damage anything out of spite when I get it back. There are numerous sites that look like this one I stumbled upon (really tacky/plain site layout). It would be a fair assumption that all these sites are pure trash, and you're 100 times better off selling your device on Ebay/Amazon. Just stay away.
