Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased 2 Motorola cell phones online and they were received ready for service with Cingular. With the pretence that if I paid my bill each month, that within a specified time frame (6 to 8 months later) I could submit 4 rebates for customer loyalty and appreciation and receive back 290 dollars. Sounded like a good deal.

I followed the requirements, made documentation and forwarded the requested paperwork (March 2, 2006) within the time frames. Shortly thereafter, I received emails indicating they had been received and were being processed.

I waited many weeks and received no response. Then I went through links on the received emails and with more info, received nothing. Then one showed that it met the criteria and was being processed. A few weeks later, the other three were rejected. (Upon reviewing other customer complaints, sounds like the company uses a pat rejection notice)

Since the paperwork was submitted with seperate phone numbers, billing statements and bar codes correct for each submission, I shouldn't have had to submit anything else and they should have been correct. However, I resubmitted while also being in contact (email) with customer service reps.

Long story short, I sent them in first week of March 06 and have yet to be paid. Many emails to customer service and a supervisor have yet to yield anything other than (please wait 10 to 12 buiseness days for your review. Its 7-14-06, I wished I had long weekends like them.

Well I have stepped it up with pass my request up the chain at their company, to submiting this complaint and I will be working on BBB, Fed Trade Comm FTC, Wa. St. Attorney General Office, U.S. Postal Inspector, Cingular, looking into a small claims submission, notifiying Howard Clark and requesting a debit back to my visa for the cost of the phones for rebates not received.

Upon reviewing the many complaints at sites such as Epinions, Ripp Off Report, Spoo Free, Fat Wallett, Forums, and Slickdeals to name a few, I see that a class action lawsuit is in order.

As far as I am concerned, Cingular being the big company that it is, should immediately cut this company out. But then it may be owned by the same person(s). This is definately FRAUD and appears like a bait and switch with the loopholes customers have to go through to submit their rebates and/or get their money back.
