Cellular Choices PHONE REBATES NOT AS PROMISED! ripoff Sherwood Oregon
I signed up with Cingular through this authorized dealer, cellular choices. They seemed to have the greatest deal. (More) I signed up with Cingular through this authorized dealer, cellular choices. They seemed to have the greatest deal. We ordered 2 phones on a family plan, expecting to get 4 rebates for $150 each, 2 for each phone. In addition there was a deal to get a free ipod shuffle with each phone.
The website said "order a second phone and get another ipod shuffle", 2 total. I received 2 rebates for $150 and now when I call the customer service line for the other 2 rebates they say that I do not qualify because I did not sign up for the right plan. I followed the instructions on the site to the tee.
I signed up with what the site gave me exactly. I printed the forms and mailed them exactly during the specific date range. I still have copies of everything. Almost a year later, now all of sudden they say I don't qualify. I feel that the site was misleading and unclear regarding their specials.
With regards to the ipod shuffle, they claim that the form said one per household, when the website clearly said that we would be able to get 2, if we signed up for the family plan. I have contacted them several times only to be greeted rudely, as if I was some kind of thief. I have asked to speak to a manager and there was not one available.
I did ask if they handled their own rebates and they said they do. I am a customer of theirs and I should be treated like one. I patronized them 4 years ago when I signed up with T-mobile through their site. I was a returning customer on top of things. I called several times to politely ask were they are located to file a complaint, they were very rude. Telling me that I don't know who I am talking to. Asking me why I want to know where they are located. They would not tell me. The website is http://www.cellularchoices.net/ They are a division of Inphonic.
I feel that I should still be able to get the other 2 $150 rebates because the site was unclear and misleading. The terms should be made more clearly.

InPhonic is operating under many names including the one you purchased under as welll as "Wirefly" and others. It's apparent, just form the # of complaints on this site, that In Phonic isdefrauding their customers quite literally their customers out of millions. File your compalint with your state AG. If enough of us do maybe we'll at least get the get satisfaction of seeing Inphonic founder and CEO David Steinberg spend some time in jail where he belongs. Don't coiunt on getting your rebate.
