Long story short,2001 acquired an equity loan on my home with Centex. Same situation as all the other complaints I've read on here. I fought to keep my home I thought they wanted and they got but somehow I believe I can still get it back if I could locate an attorney familiar with equity loan laws in Texas. I haven't found one yet. A real estate attorney in my hometown did advise me that because of all the ins and outs of the equity loan laws they don't fool with it (equity). I believe the consumer affairs dept and the Attorney General's office needs looking at, if after all these complaints they are still doing business as usual.

When I called the consumer affairs office and spoke to 2 gentlemen there, I felt like I had been "Bum Rushed"! They were not interested in any of it and assured me there was not a problem with Centex. Go figure, after I advised them of all the little tricks they were pulling to bump my initial 36,000.00 principle (that never came down by the way) but instead increased to this date of 60,000.00. They filed to foreclose at least twice a year which bumped the amount up 3000.00 every time they did that. The last time they filed to forclose, in 2004, I filed an answer in court, never heard anything from the court or Centex and found out Centex had taken it back anyway! I thought there had to be a Courthouse Sale of which I still would have the option to cure at the last minute or something! Court wouldn't advise on the next step, and couldn't locate anyone to help. I had moved out but still fighting. I wanted to get them in front of a judge, according to what I could understand I would win 4 times the amount I was defrauded, and took them on myself. They do not want to get in front of a judge people, and It's time we all get together and file that long overdue suit. There maybe a statue of limitations issue w/mine, don't know but I'd love to see them run out of Texas on a rail!

email me at (((ROR redacted))) I was just awarded the Obama Home affordability stability program after almost 8 months if not more of fighting with Nationstar. Anybody that wants help I will help you but for a small consulting fee of $200. I have helped numerous people, friends, family etc lower their monthly payments and help them through this long arduous process that stresses people out to the max. There is no doubt you need a backbone but I know the proper steps and what to say etc. I am not a scam. Email me your phone number and you will see when I call you back. I am not affilitated with a company or a loan modification company. I am a fighter for the people but if you hire me to do a job then I am going to do a job. Cheryl, We need to get together and find out how we can work a court date even if we are from others states. I have contacted the Attorney General, Department of Corporation, District Attorney, State Department the Notary Division and have gotten nothing. They do not want to deal with the problem, they are allowing these predators to get away with our money and homes. I have an attorney working with me, I can give you his number if you want to speak to him, but again I am in california. Maria Redlands, California
