Central Florida Direct JOB SCAM Clearwater Florida
I was job hunting a few months ago and came upon this company looking for entry level customer service reps and decided to give them a try. They were telling me how I'd be great in marketing and their marketing people work for companies NASCAR & Crayola, etc. Marketing reps are often required to travel across the country, & was that ok for me, yadda yadda.
My second interview comes along & I am told to dress in black slacks a blue polo & comfortable shoes. I get there as they requested & am put out in the field with one of their managers who takes me to BFE Saint Petersburg where we basically bugged people about some Formula One cleaning Product at this little rinky dink gas station.
It's August, I am not accustomed to Florida heat & trying to basically sell this product on a street corner was not what I signed up for. I was feeling really sick from standing outside for hours breathing in gas fumes & told the girls I was with my situation & was basically told too bad, we can't do anything until at least 5:00 PM. So I was stranded. When I tried to ask for some information prior to that, I was given this run around about how they help charities and then got a whole life's story about this girl dating some guy within the company.
I called the office and explained what happened - about being sick and not wanting a sales position, but the customer service rep position I applied for, I was told very rudely "Nope we don't have any other positions" and was hung up on.
Stay away from these scam artists.
