Century Manufacturing Corp Deceptive sales tactics and refusal to authorize returns Massapequa New York
I received a call from a Dustin McDonald from Century regarding the company's all purpose drain cleaner. I said I was not interested since the quantity he wanted to sell me was such it would last me 50 plus years. He said he would send me a sample to try and then reach out to me to see what I thought. Much to my surprise the free sample was a 20 lb bucket that had a 133.74 invoice tied withit. I immediately sent an e-mail to the company on line site that Century denied getting. In the e-mail I asked for an R/A . After no response I received invoice 2 followed by a call demanding payment. I indicated the process I had already followed and Century claimed they had no such request but thay would waive he freight and I woul be liable for the 99.80 free sample that has never been opened. Since they ship from a PO Box UPS refused to accept the return shipment. A 133.74 free sample is deceptive in their sales practices and the deman for payment makes me one that would not ever buy from them even if I needed their products.
