Magazine Direct is supposed to send out a notice 90 days after you place your order for the magazines. The offer I solicited stated that customers could cancel their subscriptions up to 6 months after they placed their Brylane order. It is not a surprise that you experienced this problem. I heard fellow telemarketing agents talk about the Bridgewater, Massachusetts telemarketing center was very lax in their enforcement of the Brylane call guides. They seldom verified customers' contact information and pencil whipped reading the terms and conditions. Just to let you know when I worked for Brylane (Redcats, Inc), team leaders were required to verify that telemarketing agents read the entire terms and conditions to customers before closing out the order.

Placed an order with Chadwick's Catalog over a year ago and was offered 6 month free trial run on any 2 magazines of my choice. They read off this long list of magazines and I chose 2 of them. I was thinking that after the 6 months, he magazine company would send me notice if I wanted to continue. After this period was up, Magazine Direct retreived my personal account information from Chadwicks and withdrew their annual fee out of my account without any notification from me whatsoever. This is absolutely unacceptable. Chadwick's will never get another order from me. Watch for the extra so called free stuff. It's not worth it. Businesses don't care about the protection of your accounts. Please stop the madness!!!
