Child Protective services/spokane wa CPS They are delaying my childs return home because i am schizophrenic. spokane washington
My daughter was taken by cps on Sept 17th 2014. She was taken because of domestic violence against me. Due to his beating me I had a relapse and smoked meth. Since they took her I have not used. I have taken four UAs a month since and passed them all. Furthermore, I had the domestic abuser put in jail and he has a restraining order that prevents him from coming near me for 99 years. Now its been almost a full year and they still haven't returned her to me. She currently lives with my mom, however my mother has not passed a background test and she is married to a crack addict with countless charges and convictions. I have schizophrenia and I believe CPS is using that as a reason to hold my daughter. They wont say that, in fact they haven't given a reason at all, because its illegal to be bias due to mental health. I am on medication and I have been seeing a psychiatrist for 3 years. She has told the cps case workers several times that I am stable enough to take care of my daughter. I am being discriminated against and I am trying to find help taking this case. I want to sue CPS.

I too have had to deal with cps. I have seen there lies, manipulation and threats first hand. I also think anyone who thinks there is system wide coruption or conspiricies is full of BS. The cps made a visit to me after a complaint was made by my mother in law. My husband and I were starting the divorce process and she thought this would help her son during it. They did lie and threaten. They stated they could take my children if they wanted. I think they use those tactics to make parents comply. I wasnt scared because i knew i had done nothing wrong. After she told me they could take my kids or procecute me if they felt like it I said well them go ahead. I would just get a lawyer and fight cause there was there was no way they had enough grounds to hold anything up in court. She left sayin that she could really do the things she said if i didnt comply and give her acesss to all my health records and such. I talk to a lawyer and the law they she threatened to procecute me with was actually a law for prenatel drug abuse. lol I think she was just trying to scare me using my ignorance about the law and my rights against me. Telling me if I complyied she whould work with me and this could be resolved. My case had nothing to do with pregnancy or drugs. my children were way past newborn stage. I can understand why they do that though. Parents who do have issues that need to be addressed will try to hide stuff and and be scared enough to comply. They have to use those tactics in order to get help to the children who need it. If you really are a good mother you have nothing to worry about. The truth will come out in court. SO WHY HAVNT YOU HIRED A LAWYER. SOME OF THE LAWYER I TALKED TO ONLY WANTED $500 AND WOULD TAKE PAYMENTS WHILE PRECEEDING, I know that can be alot of money to some people but if it were me i would be starving to dealth to be able to pay or whatever else it took. even if i had to beg on the street. no excuse for leting your children go over not having enough money to pay a lawyer. I do think that most people on here claiming cps stole there kids have more to there case then therre saying.
