I went online to purchase a GHD unit and came across the site: www.ghdironsales.com. The site reflected GHD merchandise, logos, and the promise that they were an approved GHD retailer and that all the products were original/genuine products. I then purchased two units to the value of ZAR 1890.00. The units arrived 8 days after the promised 2-3 day delivery time.

 

I was unable to register the units with the GHD hair company as they were not genuine products. This was confirmed by the official GHD company.

I contacted www.ghdironsales.com to explain that I wanted a refund as I could not use the units. They suggested that I keep the units and they would refund me 50%. I, unfortunately did not see why I had to incur the shipping costs (as the company was not prepared to pay for me to return the goods), and therefore accepted the deal. On the 21st February 2010 the company contacted me again to say that they are not in fact going to refund me any amount, and I should return the goods (at my own expense) and then they will refund me. They could not give me any guarantee that they would in fact refund me the full amount.
