Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have applied to the Mellino Law Firm for a receptionist position (which is a job they advertise with relatively alarming frequency) on at least two occasions, most recently in response to an ad that has been running on and off in the local newspaper's website since March 2, 2016. My qualifications align perfectly with the requirements specified in the ad, and I have verifiable experience working in support capacities in law offices.

On no occasion did Christa Courtney contact me to schedule an interview or even acknowledge receipt of my resumé. When I contacted her earlier this month (March 2016), she conjured the excuse that when she is inundated with resumes, she and her staff can not respond to every one. Whenever someone tries to sell me that bill of goods, I can't help but wonder what would happen if I had a job where I didn't so my diligence because I was overwhelmed and had poor time-management skills. Because I dashed off the e'mail in which I questioned her conduct and uncharacteristically sent it with some typographical errors, she went out of her way to try to school me on how contacts with potential employers must be error-free. Ideally, I'm a copy editor, and the firm's role as a potential employer is nonexistent at this point, so her attempt at redirection was moot.

Despite Her Majesty's claims that she has been swamped with applicants, and even though most employers fill positions within two weeks to a month from the time they began advertising, Christa Courtney's recruitment ad is running again today. Had she alotted me fair consideration pursuant to Federal equal-opportunity policies, and pursuant to my background and experience, I might have a job, and her burdensome crusade to fill a presumably entry-level receptionist position might be at at end.
