Chrysler Financial, White Plains Dodge Ripoff This car is not legal to drive Farmington Hills Michigan
My complaint is about White Plains Dodge in White Plains, NY who advertise that they will get you a car regardless of bad credit. They roped in a friend of mine; Justin who brought me along and a dealer approved him and prepared the paperwork.
Kelly, the dealer asked me to sign the contract with Justin and told me it would not affect my credit. I figured I was simply acting as a reference. Little did I know I had just co-signed a loan! There was no verbal or written explanation of my obligations as a co-signer which is required by NY State law! If I knew I was responsible for payments if Justin defaulted I would NEVER have signed a thing.
I have filed complaints with the NY and CT DMVs, "Shame on You" and The BBB.
In the end, Justin never payed a penny and Chrysler Financial will not assist me in changing the name on the title, so I cannot drive the car but I have to pay for it or risk getting a reposession on my credit report.
White Plains Dodge is sneaky and underhanded. I'm sure with a little investigation, they be seen for the con artists that they are. I have the original contract and a huge file of papers charting my struggle with this car.
Chrysler Financial is also at fault for stringing me along for 6 whole months leading me to believe that this titling issue can be resolved without refinancing. And in the meantime I get 4 calls a day from them for payments on a car I CANNOT drive legally.
