The deal was supposed to be a free credit report + 30 days of credit monitoring, option to cancel and owe nothing at end of 30 days. 30 days not up yet, so haven't tried to contact yet. Just got December bank statement in mail; overdrawn 285 dollars; debit for 79.95 to cic credit monitoring plus overdraft fee of 29 dollars has kept my bank account screwed up for 3 weeks now.

I can't deposit my paycheck in bank as it will just disappear. I have weekly rent, weekly bill plus have to eat therefore cashing check at check cashing service, taking care of weekly expenses, and putting what I can back into my bank account until I break even. The bank is on my back about the overdraft.

Based on the situation you are describing, CIC Monitor still recognizes you as a member, so cancel that membership fast. Call 1-888-888-8553 to get a refund and to completely withdraw from their program. If not, you will be billed $79.95 annually. Now about that overdraft fee. If you can direct your bank to this site, they can educate themselves on the sitation, and realize you're not just trying to get out of paying a fee. You should not have to pay an Overdraft Fee on an unauthorized charge. This is the point you have to emphasize. This is an unauthorized charge to your account, and a risk to your Credit History, which you need to protect. Give the bank a copy of your Rip-off Report, and if possible direct them to this site. In addition, they can visit consumerinfo.com to witness the situation directly. At this site they can access Category: Credit Reporting Agencies or search by Name: CIC Monitor SVC. They are capable of removing overdraft fees. Whether they want to or not, depends on their own Policies, and Account Holder Agreements. These are mitigating circumstances, surely they are capable of removing an overdraft fee, this one time. Of coarse, we all have to be responsible, and held accountable for our own credit information. It is also important, that we not give out our personal bank account information. What has to be considered is the "nature" of the specific service provided. In order to receive this "free" credit report, you have to give out information. It's not like you ran off on a shopping spree some where. Tell your bank directly that CIC Monitor is NOT authorized to charge any fee to your account, and that you are not a member of their Credit Security program. See if you can get them to remove that overdraft fee, and quickly call that number for your refund, and membership cancellation. Most important, change your bank account number. Hope this helps.
