Cingular Wireless ripoff consumer rip-off fraud liars Los Angelse California
Cingular Wireless has overcharged, double-billed, and deceived me from day one. I opened an account in November 2001, and have regretted it ever since.
My plan includes two phones with unlimited mobile-to-mobile, and 400 anytime minutes for 57.98 per month. My most troublesome issues with Cingular began approximately 3-4 months ago, and continues to this day.
My reception is so poor that I am forced to use my lan line when speaking to the other mobile line. When I contacted Cingular to inquire as to why the reception is bad (dropped signals, reception fade, skipped words, to no signal at all), I was told that this was "all in the best interest of the customer."
The supervisor who mentioned that explained that this is due to an infra-re-structuring. He said, "It's like taking an 4-lane highway and reduing it to 1." And, whether I liked it or not, I "signed a contract" and there is nothing that I can do about it.
When I explained that I would lose a local signal betwen mobile-to-mobile, and then again with LAN-to-mobile, with each conversation lasting less than a minute, he tried minimize this by stating that all mobile services have their share of reception problems.
When I inquired about terminating my contract pre-maturely, I, too, was told that I would need to pay 150.00 per phone, plus any costs associated with the bill to end it.
The bill itself is another story. But, I won't get to deep into that now. Just know that the bills have rarely (maybe twice) been accurate, and the last few months I have been doubled-billed and overcharged.
