Cingular Wireless has been the most awful company I have ever delt with. My husband is in the USAF and we were transfered from St. Louis, MO. TO San Angelo TX. Before coming to TX I talked with Cingular about the service that would be available in the area we were moving to. I was told we would have service. When we did get here yes we did have service but not in our homes, buildings, or cars.

We were told we would have to find an open area. I tried that and still not good service. The calls would break up, terminate or just flat out not work. I could make a call but I would have to call five times and take up many of our minutes just for the person to get what I was saying. If you could see my bill on how many times I have been disconnected you would laugh. I stopped using the phones for just that reason. Not to mention the bill we got was just rediculous.

My mother passed away so Cingular had me pay them 200.00 just to turn it back on so that I would be able to contact help if I needed on the trip home for the funeral. I asked if I could lower or plan because the phone did not work. I was told no not until the remaining amount was caught up. I also tried to explain that we have moved to an area with no service. They do not care and have now canceled us and want 150.00 for each line they turned off even though their company does not have service in this area. They have no respect for our military families and just take advantage of the fact we had to move where they don't service. I wanted to talk to the president about this matter and was given an address but no number to contact. That is just like them. They took my money and then shut my service off and then took it in their own hands to cancel us and charge us for the cancel. God forbid anyone has to deal with this company.

Cingular Wirless Somewhat Fixed Problem

I called Cingular Wirless one more time to try and get the phone number for this president person. Which by the way they did not give me the number. I did have to tell the story again and this time she listened. I tried to cancel our plan with them back in March of 2005 due to us PCS to new location. I was told I would still have to pay the 150.00 per each phone if we wanted to cancel even though they did not have service in the area we were moving to. Well now that I informed this mangager that I put a complaint on this site and that I was going to go to the jag office here at our base to file a complaint she was willing to try and work with us. I also imformed her I would send out letters to all military letting them know how Cingular will screw you even if it is the military that has moved you out of their location. She then got a manager who offered to take off 122.00 in phone charges that they billed us while we were not using the phone and I faxed her my husbands orders. She said that they would not charge us the 150.00 per line to cancel now that she has a copy of the orders. So know we only owe them 105.00 for this. Which I guess it is better than what they were first willing to do which was nothing. Still just becareful who you use. I don't think we should have had to pay a cent seeing I tried to cancel with a copy of my husbands orders long before we even got to TX. No one and I mean no one should ever be treated this way military or not it is wrong! If they can not provide good service then there is no way they should expect their clients to pay. They say they have raised the bar but the only thing I think they have raised is the $$$$$ in their pockets. They know how to get you and that is what is so sad. Thank You for allowing me to express this and may it help someone else who may be in the same boat!
