Cingular Wireless ripoff - 2 years after account paid in full and service stopped Cingular sends Collection Agency Tulsa Oklahoma
Cingular is screwing up my credit report! Had 2 Cingular phones on 1 year contract. Discontinued in mid-2001. Have copy of July 2001 invoice for two phones that shows zero monies past due and $.73 currently due - must be last invoice before change to a different cell phone carrier.
All of a sudden in late 2003, find that recently a collection agency for Cingular has filed that $118 is owed since 10/2000. Credit Reporting Agency says this charge is correct because Collection Agency has verified it to be correct in spite of my proof of account being current as of July 2001. Collection Agency has not responded to me.
Tried phoning Cingular but their line seems to always be busy!
