I brought the camera to the store and showed it to the manager who saw that there were no signs of water damage. He called the warranty company himself and saw that they were very stubborn. He decided to give me a replacment on the store level . He gave me a credit for the amount of the original purchase price of the camera. He also got the insurance company to give money for the warranty back. I still think the insurance company is a fraud but the manager was very nice.!!!!

I don't understand why you would mention water damage to the csr if your camera did'nt have any. Just how did your camera break? As a longtime camcorder/digicam technician with CC, I've recognized that these items don't just usually "break". The majority of problems with camcorders and digicams are damage related and customer education. If taken care of properly, these items just don't breakdown. And by the way, our customer service is better than Best Buy. We bend over backwards to accomadate our customers, just short of giving away the farm. Even many damage issues are resolved at no charge (even though the service agreement states otherwise) to our customers. Your digicam extended warranty is not serviced in-house by CC as many other are and therefore any service or damaged related issues are handled by GE-Assurance, the the issuer of the contract. If your camera doesn't have water damage, I would speak to the store manager. Show him/her the camera. If no evidence exist, at least outwardly, then maybe he/she can send to our in-house service for evaluation.
