Indeed his plan had different terms and was purchased long after he bought the TV. His terms was not disclosed in the complaint nor the fact of being told it was being looked into by CC. The set was replaced with a new model. Sony made the TV and CC did what they promised so you see he does not repsond with "I love my new TV" as no one does who complains here. You get the brute tempered responce and usally shortly after their gone leaving the stain on the net. Enjoy your new set and by the way..the warranty does not start all over again from the day you get it so lets prevent a new compliant later ok?

I was investigating your claim and I found that on 7-10-06 they exchanged your television. It just took time, but they did the right thing.

Typical Circuit City. I too am a victim of their thievery. They will treat you like a king and promise you the world until you paid for the item. After that, it's a whole new attitude. They sell you worthless warranties, and then when you have the slightest problem, they don't want to know nothing. They will tell you that it's your fault. They will tell you that the warranty covers everything, except the problem that you have. Just look at all the reports on this website alone. I bought a laptop there that failed to work after 2 months. They told me that I must of dropped it and refused to fix it. Since then, I've purchased 4 computers and 2 plasma TVs at their competitor's store. Never again will I walk into a low life Circuit City store, and neither should you.

Help???

Hopefully, I may be able to help. I have been with the company for 15 years, and I understand your frustration. It looks to me like you purchased the protection plan a year after your original purchase so you must've purchased it by phone. If so, did the paperwork you have on the warranty come in the mail, or did you receive it when you initially purchased the television. The reason I ask is that the warranty purchased at the point of sale has different terms than the warranty purchased after the fact. The terms you listed regarding a loaner (which no longer is part of the protection plan, but was back in 2001) and the no lemon guarantee are different. I am not sure exactly who you have talked to, but I would suggest calling the service center for Circuit City in your area and asking them to spell out what the contract says. (You can start at 888-333-2333 and ask for the phone number.) They are the most knowlegable regarding things like this. I am not sure, but I think the "terms and conditions" they offer in the store may explain this. I would stop in and ask for a copy. I would also speak with the store director at your local CC store and tell him when you purchased the television that it covered a loaner while your television is being serviced. If you have been in contact with one store in your area, maybe try another. I know that there are a few locations in Orlando. When loaners are give, they may not be the exact same size or quality of yours, but they should do this in good faith. I know at our store, we will try to work with the customer. I truly hope you get this situation resolved in a manner that satisfies you. I know it is aggravating, as I would feel the same way having a television that did not work for that period of time.
