I'm a former CC employee who had a desk about 20 feet from the CEO's door, and while I harbor no great love for the company, I simply have to respond. I had dealings with Fiona Dias frequently during my time with the company, and not only is she NOT hispanic, she was (I believe she's now left the company) an extremely valued member of senior management. You could easily say she was one of the brightest execs with the company, in fact. Your statement that she is hispanic proves you don't have any idea what you're talking about. If you'd ever met her, as you claim, you'd know she or her family is from India. It's fairly clear when you hear her speak, as she has the accent of an extremely well educated Indian.

Just a minor detail. Fiona is not latino as her name might suggest. And also I have been present at corp. communications meetings where her thoughts and ideas were recorded and sent to the entire company as part of our annual communications meeting. She was publicly praised by the ceo and the coo as well as there announcment of her promotion to Senior Vice President of circuit city direct. And there are minorities at the corporate level and on the B of D. And also just wondering what bigwigs you ran into in Springfield Ill when the corp. offices are in Virginia. And if you did know Fiona at all you would know that she would not stick around if she were treated like that. Frankly I cant beleive that you would suggest that she is only around is to have diversity. I think that is disrespectful to her acomplishments and her postion in the company.
