Today is the 66th day that I have waited for Circuit City to either repair or replace my Samsung DLP HDTV. I have called time and time again to find out what was being done to which I never received a straight answer.

I've spoken to Helen, Tom, Daniel, Gillian, Avril, Gary, Clayton, Isis, Betty Jo, Mark and a few others, half of which told me they were Supervisors, and who all told me that they would either send emails, or contact supervisors, or have my problem "escalated". But here I am 66 days after the problem was diagnosed still in possession of a TV that I can't use.

I'm not sure if it was Linda or Shanika that was finally able to obtain results but two days ago I called again to get a status, and low and behold an authorization number had been generated to have my TV replaced, supposedly tomorrow, Friday, May 12th, after 67 days of getting the run around. Or it may have been the fact that I told them that if I didn't see some results in the next week, I was going to contact the BBB, Consumer Protection Agency, Channel 8, Channel 13 and the newspaper. Who knows?

Now here is the truly hilarious part. Although the TV is being replaced under Circuit City's "cityadvantage protection plan"

Which I just renewed for 3 years in December for about $500, they want me to buy a new protection plan for the replacement TV if I want it protected from equipment failure!

Needless to say, I won't be purchasing anything from Circuit City ever again.
