Citi Financial False credit reports Irving Texas
I have an investment property mortgage through CitiFinancial. In June of 2006 I contacted them to start an escrow account. I was told I would be sent paperwork with the amount the mortgage would be changed to with the escrow added in. I have not yet received a copy of this escrow even after repeated verbal requests. I did not know how much the mortgage would go up with the escrow added so I added an extra $50.00 a month.
In August I began to get daily phone calls saying my payments were not made. In September of 2006 they took an entire $400.00 payment and applied it to non-existent fees.
Ever since then I have been getting an average of 3-4 calls a day demanding payment of the late mortgage payment. They have reported me to the credit bureaus excessively even though I've never missed a payment and sent them proof of all payments via cancelled checks at least 4 times - two of these were sent registered mail.
I've talked to many "supervisors" who see the misapplied payments made in August 2006 and am told they will fix it and I will receive no more harrassing phone calls. I've received phone calls sometimes within an hour after the supervisor call. I've asked their names and phone numbers but when I call back no one has ever heard of them.
I've even heard from their "research" department saying it was fixed by James Williams and that I would not receive any more calls. That was in early 2007. Needless to say, it wasn't done because I am still getting the harrassing phone calls.
