I took my car Toyota 1997 model to City Garage #20 on 7/25/2005 for 65K service in Garland, TX.. The Manager Jimmy gave me qoute for $420. When I went o pickup my car he gave me bill for $919 and also told me that it needs additional work done on the Transmission lines which will cost an other $91 and he strongly recommends to taken care off. I asked him why did'nt he call me for my approval for extra work to be done. He said he did but my phone# was not correct.

So I gave him a benefit of doubt and assumed that he must had done so. So he kept my car fo an extra day to perform additional work and billed me for $1010. I paid the money and went to work, I shared this with my fellow employees and the all said that I had been ripped off.

They took a look at the engine and determined that the work I was charged for was never done. I took my car to third party automotive repair shop and they confirmed that the work for which City Garge #20 invoiced me for was never done. The little bit work they had done was un-professional. I called Jimmy (Manager) and told him, he told me to bring the car and he will take a look at it. On ist of August I took my car to City Garage again to show him that he had not performed any work. He agreed with me that the work had not been done, blammed on the auto tech. I demanded my money back which he agreed to pay me in a months time. It had been over a month and I have not heard from City Garage so far.

I have never come accross such a dishonest automoive repair company.

That is correct that I was able to charge back 900+ dollars. Should I give any credit to City Garage for this refund? Absolutely not. I filed a dispute with credit card company and got most of my money back after some time. Who knows how many innocent people got ripped of before or after me and still being ripped off.
