I came to interview here for a positon in event planning. I will start off by saying that they do not have this position. They advertise it, but this position DOES NOT EXIST.

While in the waiting room, I talked with people interviewing for different roles- account management, marketing analyst, and we all seemed very excited. When I got into the interview, I was continually asked about marketing, and the converation revolved around sports teams, day spas and so on. I was confused and the entire process seemed disorganized.

I was invited back for a second round interview (with some people from yesterday as well!) and we were taken out together for a "job shadow"- Strange, considering that we interviewed for drastically different positions.

The job shadow consisted of us watching someone hopelessly try to sell a cheap product to anyone who would listen. I was embarassed. We were told this was the position we would all be in, at least for a while. I said "how- this has nothing to do with event planning"... It does not matter. There is no position in event planning.

I took some time to google the information about this company, wondering what could have possibly happened and how I didn't see the red flags leading up to the horrible second round "job shadow". I realized there was some issues with the layout of their website (Logo over text, rookie mistake) but thought it was the fault of a developer.

Their "director", Caleb Sims- look him up before you do anything involving this company. Google "caleb sims scam" He has had dozens of companies just like this one that prey on the Naieve and the young.

Do not support this dishonest company. They lie, they advertise positions that do not exist, and they are 100% okay with that.  I am considering a lawsuit because bait and switch for employment purposes and willfully advertising for a position that does not exist is illegal in the state of Rhode Island.
