Complaint Review: Claires Bowtique (Amiee McCarthy Sima) - Allegan Michigan

   Buyer Beware of Claires Bowtique on Facebook. This is my story, it all started in the middle of March, I was on Facebook and ran across a page Claires Bowtique. Her page was full of happy customers and the pictures of little girls wearing the items Amiee Sima had made for them. At that point she was running a special on tutu sales, she claimed to be giving the money to a family who's daughter was sick and in the hospital. I thought that was such a nice thing that she was doing, you don't find may people in the world who will donate their hard earned money to a family in need. I however did not purchase a tutu at that time. But as a mother of 3 beautiful girls I wanted to buy some cute hair bows for my daughters.

   So I ordered a easter basket full of goodies and I paid right away and I got the basket in the mail the friday before easter. I thought that it wasn't very good planning on her part, because what if it hadn't gotten here in time for easter morning. But I liked the bows and I had never purchased anything like this before so I thought they were really cute. I started checking out her page daily and soon started playing the fun friday games, where she would post a picture and and the 1st comment usually would win the items free or at a discounted price. I thought it was great, I could get some cute things and not pay too much.

   So on 4/1 I won $40 worth of items for $25, thats great a $15 savings for me. So for the $40 worth I ordered several hair bows. Then on 4/11 I ordered a owl top and and matching tutu and 2 Hats with flowers total $34.50. The hats were for my mother whom is on Chemo battling breast cancer going on 4 years now. She loved the hat that I got in the easter basket and really wanted a few more. So I had talked with Amiee and informed her how much my mother loved them and she offered to send a few to my mother for free. I however told her I had no issues with paying for them. So that is what I did. On 4/16 I ordered 10 headbands $3 and I won a free tutu, I felt it was only fair to send money for shipping so I paid $7. Stupid me what was I thinking. I did this because when I got the easter basket in the mail I noticed the shipping stamped on it was several dollars more that what she had charged me, I am a honest person and I felt like I should pay her something since I was getting the item for free. Then on 4/18 I saw that she was having a special and you could purchase 2 $40 gift cards for $25. So I order 2 gift cards Total $25. I assumed she would send something in the mail showing that I had a credit with her. However I later found out that she just keeps track of the gift cards on her end, which would have been nice to know, but she never told me that. Then on 4/23 I ordered Pink Fairy wings $6 and a Rosette Top $8 Total $14. Then on 5/3 I ordered a pair of Zebra flip flops for my daughter $6 and 2 newborn sleepers $30 for my brothers twin girls which were scheduled to be born in the middle of June. So my Grand Total is $141.50.

   Keep in mind all along I told Amiee it would be totally fine to mail all the items at one time. When I ordered the very last items on 5/3 I contacted Amiee to make sure that it wouldn't be a problem to get the newborn sleepers before the 2nd week in June. She informed me that it would be no problem at all. So I waited and checked the mail on a daily basis hoping the package would come. The gift cards were a gift for my sister in law to welcome her new beautiful twins girls into this world. So when the end of May came and I hadn't seen anything in the mail I sent a email to make sure everything would get here in time for the babies birth which was set for Mid June. She responded on 5/26 and let me know everything would be mailed out that weekend , which was the holiday weekend. So I figured I would wait a week or so to see if the items would show up.

    I then noticed she had posted on her facebook page that any questions in regards to orders needed to have the order date listed as well as the item purchased and the date of payment to help her to look up the appropriate information in a timely manner and get back to us. So I looked through every email and every paypal receipt and made my detailed list and sent it off to Amiee on June 14th since my items still hadn't arrived and she had told me that had been mailed almost 2 weeks prior. Amiee responded 2 days later which was June 16th she only gave me a simply answer which was "Your order has shipped." So I again waited and by this point the babies have now been born and we don't have the sleepers that they were going to wear home from the hospital. On June 25th I recieved a very tiny package in the mail from Claires Bowtique, I thought to myself what the heck could this be. I opened the package to find that the only items she had sent me were the newborn sleepers. But wait I have now paid her $141.50 to this lady and she only sent me $30 worth of stuff when she told me everything had been shipped on two different occasions.

    So I sent a nice email letting her know I had received the sleepers and asked her when I could expect the rest of my items. On June 29th she sent me a email and said "Hi! the rest of your order is on the way! Sorry for the delay.! Thanks!" So I took that response for what it was worth and I again waited for my packages to arrive. Two weeks came and went and once again no package, so I sent another email and another email and Amiee responded on July 15th and said " I will have your tracking number shortly!". Keep in mind she promised the order no later than the middle of June and here were are and it's the middle of July and her only response to my very long emails is your item is shipped or I will get the tracking number. There was never really any communication on her part what so ever. So on July16th I asked her again if the order was shipping and to send me a tracking number and she said "Yes! I will be sending them all tonight or facebook posting." Can you please verify with me what you are waiting on so I know we are on the same page. I told her I was waiting for everything except the newborn sleepers and she responded with "Right I wanted to verify what was coming to you so I know if I missed anything Thanks!.

   At this point I am so feed up with her bologna I can't stand the fact that she gives me a one sentence response to a very detailed email and never has anything to say to me but I'll check and it's on the way. So on July 24th I still don't have a package so I send yet another email and no response so I re-send on July 28th and nothing, So re-sent again on July 29th and Amiee finally sends me an email, but when I open the email her response to me and my shipping questions is "I will check! Thanks!" Really now we are at the end of July and I am still owed $111.50 worth of stuff and your response to our very long emails back and fourth is I will check, you have got to be kidding me. I am feed up and I don't know what to do at this point because I am now way past my 45 day claim period to be able to get my money back with paypal. I have been nothing but nice to this woman who is clearly a scammer.

   So I went on her facebook page and flooded every post she had with comments asking her where my stuff was and low and behold she was very quick to delete every comment I posted. She then took me off of her page and blocked me so I couldn't continue to post negative things on her facebook page for the rest of her fans to see. I then enlisted the help of my friends to go on her page and post comments asking why she stole my money and she did not take kindly to that. She sent me a message via facebook and told me I was childish and I clearly need to grow up and get a life. Well at this point its a pretty good bet I'm not getting my money or the items I purchased. There have been many more emails since then and it's now Aug 7th and I still have nothing from her. She claims now that the reason I don't have my items is because I didn't use a order form when ordering. However the only information require on the order form is Name, email, Item being purchased, and size and color. I can tell you on every single order that I sent her I had every detail needed for my purchase and she always sent me a note saying Thank you for the order. Well if the order wasn't right on her side maybe she should have said something when the order was sent.

   Now she is choosing to make every excuse known to man, to make it look like someone else's problem. She has informed me in my recent emails that I am no longer allowed to email her she will no longer speak to me. She changed her email a few weeks ago and I was unable to contact her. I have since gotten the new email and now she has changed it again. This woman is nothing but a liar. Do Not order from her or you will be sorry, I am. I'm have contacted paypal and I will being calling my local police department to file a report.
