Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Claudine Alexander Leger, grew up in N.Y. state.  She spent a lot of time hanging around a home that her grandparents ran for senior care.  Claudine Alexander Leger proceeded to have several jobs in several cities before settling down with her husband and two children in Ruskin, Fl.

At one time, a picture was posted of Claudine Leger with her two children in the local paper explaining how she needed help getting a car.  Hers had been stolen with two baby seats in the back for daughters that were much older than the "baby-stage".

She held a position at Benton House Assisted-Living Facility (new name:  Belvedere), Ruskin/Sun City Center, Fl, where she had an old man sign over his car and his house to her.  She paid him 100 hundred dollars for the transaction.

When, his daughter found out, she immediately rescued  him and moved him to another facility.  Claudine was fired from Benton House ALF for the elderly.  She moved across the road to work at Sun City Retirement Residence.

As an employee she caused so much turmoil that her immediate boss gave the company an ultimatum.  The long-employed director then decided to leave under the new foreign-owned ownership.  Claudine was given the job as a Director of the ALF.

The facility was reported to the state-AHCA Division for sub-standard care and conditions on a 22-page report.  With Claudine Leger in charge, the staff became less efficient and qualified.  Claudine Leger failed to do back-ground checks on the staff.

The meals were watered-down and lacking in nutrition. The facility was infected with Staph-MRSA.  Medicines were misplaced.  Residents were physically and emotionally abused.  Family members were intimadated by her.  Rodents were visible in the kitchen. AHCA demanded that rugs be replaced in the facility, that were covered with fecal matter and food stains. The rooms were poorly maintained for the residents.

Claudine Alexander Leger has a sealed-record in the Hillsborough County Courthouse, Tampa, Fl referencing her charge on taking the house and the car from the old man for the amount of $100 in payment.  Only a judge can have the record unsealed.

Claudine Alexander Leger is not qualified to be anywhere near the old and the frail seniors, in her care.  She proceeds to find employment in facilities and in private homes.

The new manager of the facility, which changed its name, because of the AHCA-Fl. report on it, questioned Claudine's accounting on the fees paid by clients or their representatives.  The new manager made contact with the local bank to check those records.

Claudine Alexander Leger should never be hired to care for any human being, under any circumstance.

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Normally I would not give anyone who wrote something like this the time of day, however Ripoffreport.com does not remove any articles no matter how false they are, therefore I am responding to you. I don't know who you are or why you have created this story, but let me set a few things straight.

Yes, I grew up in NY and I was very active as a child in my grandparents rest home, and I have been blessed with many wonderful jobs through the years, but this is where your facts end and the fiction story begins.

My vehicle was stolen several years ago on Thanksgiving night from my drive way and was set on fire, the local newspaper did an article on my family, and they asked what they could do for me, I told them I could really use carseats (because I had another vehicle at that time, but lost the car seats in the fire) I have three children and for your information two of them were in car seats. (Florida Law: Child must be in car seat until they weight over 40 lbs) I was very blessed, when local residents donated a couple of used carseats to me.

The event that you then discuss and think you know so much about happened in 2004 and you are way off base. First of all, it involved a woman, not a man and she had no family and little money but could not take care of herself and needed assisted living. I took her to her attorney-in Apollo Beach where he discussed possible solutions to her problem. He suggested she sell her assets, which would then give her money to live off of. I gave her the business card of a local Realtor who recently toured the facility looking for placement of his mother-in-law. He listed her home and an investor bought it for $110,000. She also had a very old station wagon, that she could no longer drive and it needed repair work, I purchased this from her for $200, had it repaired drove it for awhile and then donated it to the Morico family (Family of 6) who use to reside in Ruskin and was going through some financial hard times and could not afford a car.

After these transactions took place, a nephew from up north and his wife appeared, the nephews wife wanted the house and vehicle for themselves. The wife called the sheriffs office and reported this to them, they did an investigation and had the lady go back to her attorney, where they had the attorney ask her if she wanted her nephew to have her belongings, she stated no to him in front of witnesses and noted that she needed the money to live. The sheriffs office never filed any charges against anyone and the woman continued to live there for a long time until she passed away. Please note when I was promoted from Marketing Director to Executive Director of Benton House I was able to remain deficiancy free with the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).

I didn't move across the road and work for Sun City Retirement, I was offered the Administrators position with Options Corp. (a state licensed Nurse Registry) in Tampa and worked for them for 2-years. I was instrumental in having them relocate there offices from Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa to Sun City Center. However, I truly missed Assisted Living and when the long term Administrator at Sun City Retirement could not work due to an injury, I happily accepted the position. The old Administrator decided she could not physically handle coming back to work and resigned from her position, at which time the full time position was offered to me. Yes, the state did come in and investigate several times, because when I took over I found a lot of issues with medication and in dinning services and housekeeping, when I asked the employees to step up their game and comply with state regs they walked and had a lot of fun making false reports to the state. So, yes the state was in the building often, much of the reports were dismissed because they were unfounded and those that had any merit were fixed by my team and myself. When I left the building in April of 2009 it was deficiency free with the state of Florida and the department of health. I am very offended that you criticize my staff, they were very hard workers, with a lot of compassion, many of them worked in that building years before me and others were new and stepped right up to the plate.

You are correct regarding 2-new employee background checks not being run on time, this was the office managers responsibility as well as mine, however criminal background checks were run shortly after their employment and they both passed. Meals were never watered down and all menus had a certified dietitians approval on them as required by the state. Yes, we did have residents come back from the hospital with nasal MRSA, but if you do your homework on this, many of us carry this in our nose-the staff took every precaution when dealing with this disease at the facility. I don't recall medicines being misplaced, but I will say sometimes the pharmacy orders did not come in as quickly as we would have liked them to, unfortunately that was not in our control. And, while we didn't have "rodents" in the kitchen we did have a bug problem, in which I terminated the old bug company and brought in a new one, who handled the problem very quickly. AHCA asked that the rugs be cleaned in the dinning room in the Alzheimer's unit. While trying to give these residents as much Independence as possible, they often have spills and the state just wanted to make sure the floors were being kept up. The rooms were always well maintained and one of the many reasons people enjoyed living in this community.

Let me make this VERY CLEAR, I do not have a sealed record, I have to pass a level 2 FBI Criminal Background Screening in order to run a facility in the state of Florida and I have no disqualifing offenses that would prevent me from working in this or any other industry.

I am very qualified to run an ALF in the state of Florida. I love this industry and enjoy looking out for the elderly, I would never intentionally harm anyone. In addition to my ALF CORE Training, I am certified in CPR, Basic First Aid, Alzheimer's I and II, Medication Assistance, Food Service & Handling, Domestic Violence, HIV/Aids, Medical Records, etc. etc.

And as far as the facilities name change-I was instrumental in coming up with the new name, in fact I'm the one that filed the paperwork with the state for the name change. The new manager had nothing to do with it, it had been in the works months before he even came on board. And, it didn't have anything to do with AHCA reports, it was changed because the new owners, wanted all the communities they own to have similar names around the united states-for branding purposes.

And, there was never any question regarding fees paid by clients or their representatives...all money went through the office manager not me and are immediately posted to the companies bank account. No Cash is ever accepted for monthly payments, therefore it would be impossible for anyone to try and do anything underhanded as everything is made out to the facility-not an individual.

I'm sorry you feel so strongly about me. I am a very good human being, I'm an incredible mother, an OK wife and a very dedicated and hard working person who has a true compassion for the elderly. If you truly knew me and all I stand for you would be ashamed of yourself for writing all these lies...but I guess you already are, because you didn't have the nerve to sign your name to your complaint. That is OK, because I am doing things the proper way and going through the Arizona Courts to get your identity revealed-because you see your amendment rights are no longer valid, because you have made multiple false reports about me-all which I can back up with legal documentation. So, I will know who you are very soon and then I will file the proper paperwork in the Florida Courts for deformation of character.
