Because AT&T bought out Cingular, what was called Cingular is now called AT&T. I know this for certain because when I first got a cell phone, I joined the Cingular network and when Cingular was bought out by AT&T, my Cingular bill started giving the company name as AT&T. Steve got it backwards.

First, call all three major credit bureaus and request your FREE annual credit report as allowed by law. These are Equifax, Trans Union and Experian. Do not get that one from www annualcreditreport com as this on cannot be used for dispute purposes, as all three bureaus are on the same report. Then go to www budhibbs com and learn all about credit bureaus, collection agencies, etc. It will tell you how to do the disputes. Too much info to put here. Also, bad credit and collections are not reported against an address, they are always reported against a Social Security number. If this is not your account, someone else used your SS# to get a Cingular Account or an AT&T account. Did you ever have a delinquent AT&T account? If so, they are now Cingular.
