College Consultant Group Took $1,000 from my mom and I and we never got any services from them. Colorado Springs Colorado
My mom and I got the letter from College Consultant Group (CCG) in 2003 and we actually went to the meeting. The entire time we watched we were skeptical but we decided to give it a shot. We got little packets of paper in the mail that listed off several scholarships and things of that sort. I would fill out the papers and send them back every time. But, I never got any of the scholarship papers and applications or anything from them.
Finally I got irritated with not getting the forms or getting anything except that packet of papers every so often that said the exact same thing over and over again, so I contacted CCG and talked to someone. The people I talked to offered help, were willing to say things but still nothing EVER changed.
Now, a few days ago, I filed away all these papers and saw the CCG packets and decided to look them up. My stomach completely dropped with what I read and it devastates me that my mom put hardearned money down for someone to simply walk off with it and not care. For some reason I feel like I owe my mom the money because she didn't have to put it towards that and it would've been a thousand dollars that could have gone to work on the house or toward a new car for her.
The two people I contacted were Bob and Patricia.

I guess the weirdest thing is that if this is such a big college company or whatever, they wouldn't just have a "dot com" website.
