I attended Collins College fromn 2003-2005 and obtained my Associates Degree. They tried making me purse my Bachelors through them and I terminated that after a week. I studied Media Arts and Film. They promised to help me get my career started in the industry and would assist me with my demo reel, etc. They did not lift a finger. They took almost $40k in hard earned money and refused to give me my official transcripts when I needed them for a job with the police department because I still owed them $1500 for the one week of my bachelors degree that I never obtained. I literally gave them my inheritance that was left to me just to get them over with and out of no where they say I still owe them. Never got a bill, never was allowed to get student aid for this or anything. Oh and I NEVER got a job in the industry. In fact, while attending classes there, I ended up finding my own internship with Fox10 News as a camera man at the time (unpaid). This college was the biggest waste of time with these instructors with all their "industry experience". What a joke! Wish I would have given more thought to colleges when I applied. They were so quick to take your money but were nowhere to be found when you needed help. Maybe if I could get some of my student loan monies back from this class action lawsuit, I can go to an accredited school this time around!
I would love to be included in this class action lawsuit and would love to receive updates on it along the way.
Thanks!
