After going to Columbia Hospital for Women to deliver my second child I was treated as if I had a very contagious disease. I was constantly referred to as the obeise woman. I was in labor for 26 hours I made to push before I was fully diolated.

I have had black outs for four years pior and was in the process of having one when my husband and I told the nurses I was having one they told me I was not and was faking.

I was told that if I did not push my child out they would perform an emergency C-section. Another doctor came in and checked me who informed the nurses I was not ready for delivery and should be prepared for an epadural.

My husband did not get the opportunity to help me deliver our child because six nurses and one doctor pushed him out of the way to do all of the work they constantly yeld and screamed at me while I tried to deliver.

After my son was born he did not breathe for the first five minutes. They got him to breathe and took him out of the room they never gave him to me to see or to hold until later that day.

I was taken into the operating room for a tubal-ligation and assumed they performed the operation. I could feel the doctors cutting me open and I was told that was in my mind and I just thought I felt it.

After the surgery I was taken into my room the doctors did not tell me they did not do the surgery they told my mother. They told her it could not be done because I was too fat.

Infection set in my stomach. My stomach constantly oozed and I was sent home the next day. The pain was so horrible. I could not go to the bathroom by myself. I could not watch my own child. I could not bathe. I could not wear any underclothes or pants.

I had to go back to the same dumb doctor almost every week for about three or four months. I had to wear cloth baby diapers on my stomach to soak up the leakage which my husband had to change every morning and every night before and after he went to work.

My family had to step in and help take care of my newborn son and my four year old. I missed out on that special time you have and share with your baby. Six months later I went back and another doctor for the same hospital performed the tubal-ligation that the dumb doctors said could not be done due to me being so fat.

I still have leakage from my stomach and a very foul smell even though it's five years later. My stomach still looks like I am nine months pregnant and I can't get any justice.

If what you have stated is correct. You have a good case of malpractice. Check the phone directory under Attorneys then under Medical Malpractice. You must not waste time on this since your state has time limits on when you file. Also go see a physician that practices wound care. He maybe able to help you. Good Luck
