Chances are VERY high that they can never collect on it anyway. It's been years, and they certainly aren't going to take you to court! I had problems with same company and it NEVER showed up on my credit report. I don't think it can because you never give more information than a name and address. Anyone could put a fake name down and sign up for service, so how can they prove it was you? Just ignore it and do not pay!! Don't talk to them or write either! Just hang up the phone if they call. Each time they hear from you in anyway they know you are listening and will just try harder to get you to pay. If you never respond or just hang up without saying anything, they will eventually move on to harrassing other people. It took them five years to come after you in the first place!
