Columbia House, Promises Not Kept ripoff, customer service nightmare, quick charges created bank fees from hell. Terre Haute Indiana
Emailing customer service does not work, trying to explain your situation does not work, attempting to receive fair practices does not work. Called and emailed them two weeks in advance to process an order on a specific date or time area, was promised that this would not be a problem, but they processed order two days after
I spoke with them, not two weeks later like promised, bank charged crazy fees for processing their account. This was stuff that I was buying for my son's birthday, but now this has caused me not to even have the money for his party, they put two orders through as four, so the bank charged fees for each trans. I was able to only cover the bank fees and their merchandise.
I am trying to cancel membership, but they are saying that I need to purchase 4 other regular priced DVDs, and CDs, but I have bought 9 DVDs from them and 15 CDs, they are not considered reg. price if I save any money even $1.00 on them... That makes no sense. I wish I had found out about them before signing up. I was also charged the wrong prices, but still have to buy more to get out. What else can I do? I will check here before going into any other business or online transaction... Thanks
