Bought their 2-way radio from Fry's and never received my rebate. Emails to them go unaswered. Their phone is constantly busy. If I am able to ring thru, no one answers. This company rips off their customers by not sending their customers' rebates and ignores phone calls and emails. These guys are just plain bad.

I finally got my rebate check from them. Here is my letter that I wrote to the BBB mediator to tell him the matter was resolved. It pretty much explains the situation: <<"I am writing to inform you that my case of dispute with Columbia Telecommunications has been resolved. They finally let me resubmit my rebate material thru fax machine, and they sent me out the rebate check in the amount of $25. Though, I am still disappointed that I had to jump through hoops to get my rebate owed. Their rebate form stated to expect the rebate check within 14 weeks. In my case, it took numerous emails that went unresponded to, numerous phone calls, and then finally being asked to resubmit my documentation to them. This was a much more complicated than it had to be --too much hassle and barriers that they put up to discourage their customers from collecting on their rebates (I think that's fraud)-- but I was determined to get the rebate that I was owed. It took over 8 months before I got my check --much longer than they had stated on their rebate form. Anyway, thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.">>
