I called Comcast Monday night to schedule an appointment due to having poor reception on my 3 TV which have cable. The girl set me up for Saturday Decemember 12th 8 to 11AM, told me that someone from the age of 18 and older must be home during those times. I assured her that I would be here, and so my story begins.

The phone rang that Sat. at 8:53. I picked it up after the first ring. When I saw in my caller ID window that it was the cable company, and no one was on the other end.

I immediately called back the number that appeared in my caller ID window, and no one answered. I waited till around noon and called the toll free number to learn that my appointment had been cancelled cause they could not reach me.

I hit the roof. First of all they did not inform me that someone was going to contact me by phone, rather than just be here between 8AM to 11AM.

I proceded to explain what had happened about the phone call. She said she was sorry and that it was too late to send someone that day, but Promised me a Next Day Sunday December 14 appt from 11AM to 2PM.

When 1:30PM rolled around I called and asked where was the the guy. She put me on hold and came back and told me that he was in route and should be there soon.

At 2:15 I called back to learn that my appointment in their computer showed December 15th Monday from 11 to 2. Keep in mind I told them I worked from Monday thru Friday. Once again I was screwed after ruining my weekend waiting for the cable guy who never showed up.

When you call them all you get is "I am Sorry", but that does not cut it. Tonight I spoke to a supervisor, she informed me that she will e-mail the manager and have someone here tomorrow night at 6PM cause I work from Monday thru Friday and won't be available until then. I told her schedule me everyday for 3 weeks including weekends and I would let her know what day someone finally shows up.

I know this may seem like a silly complaint but I felt that this should be posted. People are always getting ripped off, paying high prices and getting LOUSY service. Something needs to be done. Comcast spends a lot of money on TV advertisement telling how good they are. I believe their slogan is "They deliver". Are they referring to the Bill, cause that is the only thing they deliever on time. Are they for REAL? They are the worst Cable Company I have had to deal with. There was Storer, TCI, AT&T and now Comcast, at least with the other companies they kept their appointments. Comcast just jerks you around.

I know this is only a single complaint, but I am sure there are others that might have had a similar problem with Comcast, and maybe if we joined together something could be done.

Ralph Roberts is the President of Comcast, and he should be told by all who have a complaint about how his company rips off the customers BIG TIME. All they know how to do is raise the rates, and give nothing in return.

By the way it has been over an hour since I spoke to the supervisor who told me she would call me back to confirm tomorrow night's appt. Guess what no phone call yet. WHAT A SURPRISE!

Drop Cable and switch to Satillite.!

just forget about cable , why do you think the stero type of a TV Guy always ariveing late or not at all came from. Sounds like this company maybe be the maskot. I was with Charter years , then we switched to DirecTV and havnt had any total black outs and the Picture and sound is CRISP. CableTV likes to lie and say they are better then Satillite, but the truth is that they are not. You can get 115 Digital TV channels for 39.95. (Satillite TV is tax FREE) they have satillites you can get that can hook-up up to 4 Seperate TVs. They are always having adds that state they will give your a 2 or 3 room hook up for free with professional instatllation. the only real drawback is you have to agree to a 1 year contract, which isnt really long compared to cell phones. are last cable bill was 83$ , with only CableTV's digital basic package. so half the channels were digital and the other half are analog. do your self a favor and sign up!
