I had recently taken a job with them transporting cars they buy at auto auctions, Cocoa Fl Dealer Auction, Wallace Auction, Stuart Fl and recently Coggin Honda, Vero Beach Fl. The cars I picked up were in fact JUNK, autos that a reputable dealer won't sell. Many had to be jump started, and all were very high mileage, normally 120000 to as high as 275000 miles. I brought them to their shop, where they were rigged and detailed and then put on the lot. How many times did I have to tow a car back in the day after it was sold? Don't remember exactly, but they overheated, a/c stopped working, bad brakes, tie rods, etc. The interesting part is that there are codes crayoned on the windows, such as a 2/5.
What that means is that they bought it at auction for $2000 and are selling it for $5000. In addition, they ILLEGALLY hire employees on salary, and then work them for below hourly minimum wage, then when they quit, cheat them out of their legimate last weeks pay. SOME OUTFIT!! BTW, they just opened a third lot on Village Green and US 1 in south Pt St Lucie, Fl and are talking about opening a fourth lot soon. Wonder where they got the money to do that?? Oh yeah, there financing rate is a loan shark levels, and don't be late. Even at 18%(which they charge as high as 29%), at 18% their money doubles every 4 years. The salesman did not challenge ONE word of my original report, BECAUSE HE CAN"T! Everything stated was a PURE FACT. The cars are in fact rigged JUNK, and in my short time I worked there, EVERYTHING I stated is the complete truth. What the salesman failed to point out, they do alot of in house financing where THEY set the rate. NO BANK WILL FINANCE these worn out cars, basically, most are ready for the scrapyard.

The Individual making this report was a disgruntled employee that is no longer with the company. Please keep in mind that Commuter Cars started with one vehicle and now we are a growing franchise that has sold thousands upon thousands of vehicles. We acquire inventory through many channels. That includes dealer direct and auction services.
At times when trying to help a client establish or reastablish credit, the different banks and lenders we use have higher interest rates. We try to look at this as a short term solution for our customers to provide them transportation and help them build their credit to get them to that next level.
We also sell the same vehicle for thousands less than you will find it anywhere else. If there is anytime you are anything less than pleased, immediately tell a manager so we can find a remedy right away. We keep that policy open to our employees as well.
