Started the account 3 weeks ago in 3 weeks have had 10 Nsf charges. When the money has been deposited into the account the day the charges where made. Compass says they start with deposits first however from there very own web site deticated to your bank statements it shows otherwise here it the example..

1/19 bal of $310.00

1/19 charge of $121.00 bal of $189.23

1/22 deposit of $150.00 bal $339.23

1/22 NSF $38.00

1/22 NSF $38.00

1/22 NSf $38.00

1/22 charge of $137.90 bal of $87.33

The bank stated that the $150 credit on Friday did not count to the avalible bal when it was a cash deposit on friday at 4:30pm and that the charges on stat and sunday came out of the accounts avalible bal and that that is what brought it to a negitive bal while the charges where still in the Pending stat. I have even printed out there own statement and brought it up to the bank and the tellers, Managers could not explain this to me. They then state they will send it up the chain and i will have a response within 24 hours there response is learn how to bal your account better and this will not happen.

It amazes me that a instutution would operate in this manner I have been banking with Regions for 10 years an have never had such a problem and if a problem where ever to arise was treated with respect and dignty when I have had to deal with management of Regions.

This bank is nothing but a Nightmare for those who want to actually spend there hard earned money. I mean in 3 weeks there charges for NSF fees which now total 10 have caused the account to be negative. This account also has a direct deposit going into it I imedealy stopped useing the account and am looking for any legal representation Ie. class action what ever on this matter.

I had a very similar thing happen to me. I deposited a check on a Friday afternoon at about 4:30 and made some purchases on Saturday. What they didn't tell me is that 'next day business' (which is what deposits after 2 p.m. are considered) means the next business day. Therefore, the deposit slip they gave me was dated 4:30 pm Monday making my deposit actually go in on Tuesday. Meanwhile, my purchases came through. I went in and made a stink with the manager and got my NSF fees back. Then, I closed my account and changed banks.
