I was hired by CompuCom in July 2007. When I was hired I was working minimum wage in Charleston, Wv. My position required me to move to Clarksburg/Fairmont/Morgantown Wv without relocation assistance. In the two years I was there I never called in sick or was late for work. I was however asked to falsify my Quarterly Inventory Reports on two occasions, falsely written up and placed on a performance improvement plan; finally my wife was sent unwelcome text messages.

My boss was named Bill Pinson who sometime during 2007 began talking via text message to my wife on her cell phone. My wife didn't immediately make me aware of this and attempted to just dismiss the issue. Understand that Bill Pinson is a rather large individual very heavy set and very over weight. Initially I received email after email and phone calls praising my performance and work. CompuCom does quarterly reviews. From 2007 thru 2008 I received my quarterly reviews and a 1 year review all of which were glowing. When my wife finally brought to my attention that Bill Pinson was messaging her I asked her if she had been saving the messages she had not. I told her if he were to message her again to keep the message. During the summer of 2008 I had a server incident in White Hall, West Virginia. I worked with Alan Edwards and Susie Quick. The two System Admins informed me that I had followed their instructions and done as requested. I followed procedure on this, but Bill Pinson insisted I had not followed procedure on this situation.

The issue was the server was overheating. The server was stored in the employee break room that was a small confined area that wasnt kept clean. I had already been on site and restored the server to a functional condition. The ticket was closed, but The Branch manager wanted me to come back on site and take the server down without an open work order and Bill Pinson was directing me to take this action which was not proper procedure. The entire issue was tied specifically to what ticket number I was supposed to use to justify returning to the client site. During this time he began talking about the fact my wife had contacted him in text messages. He basically portrayed it as though my wife 5 ft 9 130 pounds was contacting him instead of the way it had actually occurred where when he went out on the road began contacting her. The only text message she was able to keep after I asked her to was very clear stating "I will do this when you send me naked pics of yourself and your female lover. The server situation eventually died down and went away or so I thought.

As anyone who works for CompuCom as a Field Service Tech knows you are required to keep Model Stock. Part of my Model Stock included a gig memory stick for a HP Server. It disappeared at some point during my employment. The moment I became aware it was missing I reported it to Bill Pinson. He assured me we would take care of this. However when it came time for CompuCom Quarterly Inventory Reporting he sent me an email December 18, 2008 7:33 PM stating exactly this "Here is the cheat sheet, I am taking care of the memory we talked about. Do not send to Phyllis if there is anything missing without calling me. She will be sending out the sheets Friday."

In January of 2009 the snow had come down greatly and had left me stuck in my office. I did a stupid thing and brought my Xbox into the office. Someone from BB&T saw the Xbox and reported it the same day. The following morning Bill Pinson was in my office and told me I would be written up and placed on a performance review. I did not actually receive the write up / performance review until May, 17 2009. When I did receive the write up it was more written towards the server incident that occurred in September 2008. In the write up Bill Pinson stated I had argued with him and included three distinct emails from the day of the server incident September 8th, 2008. Upon first glance the three emails he used gave the appearance I was indeed arguing with him, but he left off the fourth email I had sent him in which I stated I will do whatever you want I just need to know what ticket number I should work off of. This entire situation was misrepresented. The situation occurred September, 8th 2008. It was 8 months later before I was written up and it was documented. Upon realizing that Bill Pinson had misrepresented all of this in the write up I emailed Tim Paige and Daniel Mazurik. I was completely diplomatic about the emails. I stated that I wasnt sure if Bill had made a mistake, but the situation was not as it appeared on paper. I also included in my email the proof that I wasnt arguing with him merely trying to determine which ticket to use. I never received any kind of response from Tim Paige or Daniel Mazurik.

Shortly after sending the email to them I was informed that CompuCom was making employment changes. I would now be reporting to Jeff Powell and not to Tim Paige. Bill Pinson would be my liaison for BB&T issue and Jeff Powell would then be my boss / approving manager. When this change occurred I was also informed that I would now be classified as a dispatch tech. I would be required to deduct 50 miles per day prior to reporting my mileage. This was done to me and 2 other CompuCom employees it was not done for the entire BB&T Contract. To summarize Bill Pinson writes me up and falsifies the write up. I call him on it by emailing Tim Paige and Dan Mazurik. Then I am transferred to Jeff Powell for the three months I was on my improvement plan. Also during that time Bill Pinson shifted from being a jerk to my best friend along with Tim Paige. They informed me that Jeff Powell would get me fired without question and that I shouldnt talk to him at all. The reality of it was Jeff Powell was supposed to determine if Bill Pinson or I was lying. Bill Pinson played me like a complete fiddle and on September 2nd I was released from CompuCom Systems.

During the time I was being fired I took my wifes cell phone to the office and showed it to Jeff Powell with the text message and that it came from Bill Pinsons Cell Phone. I also filed a complaint with CompuCom Hr. I was later sent an email from CompuCom stating Dear Mr. Watkeys: On or about September 2, 2009, you raised allegations of sexual harassment via an email to CompuComs EasyHR. CompuCom conducted a prompt and good faith investigation of your allegations. We could not corroborate or substantiate any of your assertions. In fact, we consider your claims to be false and manufactured. This letter will further confirm that your termination on the basis of poor performance was amply justified. CompuCom considers this issue closed. I have also learned that you and/or your family members have made several inappropriate and unprofessional contacts to CompuCom associates during your employment and since the termination of your employment. Please be advised that any further communication is unwelcome. This letter constitutes our formal request that you cease and desist from contacting CompuCom associates in person, or via email, telephone, text messaging or any other method of communication. Please be advised that if we must resort to legal action to affect your compliance with our request, we shall seek recovery of costs and fees incurred in protecting our legitimate business interests. I made two mistakes in the last two years. Bringing my Xbox to the office and not reporting Bill Pinson for everything that occurred. Finally to further confirm I did my job and well. I received phone calls from Susie Quick informing me that her entire team would gladly provide me with a Professional Reference and that I had always done my job correctly. I received similar statements from Scott Zirkle in Clarksburg, Wv. The funniest part of all of this Bill Pinson in my two years of employment has been at home unless he had to cover someones area. The weekend before I was released I was scheduled for vacation on labor day weekend. Bill Pinson got upset and sent an email to me saying thanks for taking vacation this weekend as I had planned on that time off. My son of 3 years had ear surgery the day I was released. I was called to the office right after his surgery and was fired.

FINAL NOTE XEROX SHOULD HAVE COMPUCOM IN COURT.  BB&T wanted all CompuCom associates certified on several Xerox printers.  CompuCom Team Leads Billy Perrell and other leads took the tests and screen shots and put them out on a share drive making it possible for all CompuCom associates to cheat on the certification tests.
