I signed up for telephone service in order for an inmate to be able to contact me for assistance or to act as an intermediary with legal issues.  This company at Conlines.com notes on the HOME Page of their website:

After you receive your phone number via email there is a set of instructions that indicates you must set up yet another account to address any facility charges....which contradicts their information which states 'Nothing extra needed'.

We attempted to use the service but the calls would not go through at all.  

 

Upon attempting to cancel the service, I received numerous increasingly nasty emails, the final one of which sounded threatening as they accused me of fraud and they were going to send me to collection.  I'm not sure what for since I'd paid my fee but received no service.  I did not receive a refund.  

Despite receiving mail indicating my account was cancelled, I received another mail stating that I would continue to be charged a monthly fee regardless if there is activity on the account or not.  I did not sign a contract or agree to a continuous monthly charge nor was I ever made privy to a warranty or 'no refund' policy.

The inmate did try to use that number...it is did work...do you understand that problem?  While CONSLINE claims I do no deserve a refund because the whole problem is the customer's mistake, the fact is that the inmate could not connect when using the provided number.  Therefore the minutes supposedly reserved for me with my fee could not be utilized because the number was inaccessible.  Now I know I am using big words here and it's very apparent that whoever responds to this mail does not have command of the english language, but this entire process was a rip off.  

Further, my account was not cancelled with the first mail and if it were your response to me certainly does not indicate that it was.

There are two mails already that do not indicate anything like my account was cancelled.  Further the instructions that I copied in my initial mail indicate that in order to use their service I must have another service as well.  So much for 'nothing else is needed' 
 
Their explanation for that statement on their website is that nothing else is needed from them.  That is false advertising.
 
Second, and much later in the emails, I was told the whole situation was my fault because I didn't read or understand the terms and conditions.  Later I found out that the 'terms and conditions' box is pre-checked so the customer is never expected or required to read the fine print before the purchase.  Only after purchase is made do you find out that there must be an additional purchase in order to make this service work.  
 
I was also told that no service provider can be obtained as a single service but that statement is also incorrect.  I found service in which I purchased minutes and my inmate was able to call.  Very simple.
 
Again I will state that this company is deceptive and fraudulent.  I am not ruining your good name because judging by the complaints I found after the fact, it certainly looks like Consline doesn't have a good name to start with.  
 
I'll stand by my initial statement because facts prove my point.  Deceptive...fraudulent...false advertising...misleading claims.

YOU NEVER attempted to use our service, inmate never called you, you tried to damage Conslines reputation since the 1st email you sent us, we are not sure if you really have an inmate.

All you say is not true:

You said in your case the inmate calls are handle by a collect call company, We told you there is NO way to skip that company but we can help you save in your calls and pay less, but you want us to pay your collect call fees, when we told you we do not pay collect call fees tyou start treating us, you said if we do not pay your collect call fees you will post bad reviews all over the net.

When you signed up you signed electronic contract you agreed to read and understand all our terms of use, now you said you never signed a contract, we have the contract signed. 

You did not received a refund because you order our service, we provided you the service and incur in expenses for you, but you decide not to use it.
