BAD Vacation Rental to Avoid in Punta Cana Bavaro El Dorado 

Never in our trips we had such a horrible experience as renting this apartment in Punta Cana and getting involved with a gang of crooks directed by Corinna Apel making their business by collecting deposits without providing the service contracted for.

My wife and I took this trip for my daughter's wedding in Punta Cana. I arrived at Eldorado at about 2pm on Sunday June 10th and no one from the so-called "on-site management" was there waiting for me and there was no one answering all the telephone  numbers the owner Corinna Apel had given us.  I had to pay an extra 10 dollars to the taxi driver to stay and help me communicate with the guards at the gate, that spoke only Spanish.  30 minutes later a young man came to the guards house with the key to apartment #9, explaining to the taxi driver that our representative will come to see us the next morning because she was on the beach. 

The man opened the door to the apartment and left right away. Within a few minutes walking through the apartment I realized that someone was leaving there up to that moment and had left in a hurry and never cleaned it for at least 30 days. I went back to the guards looking for a young man that gave me the keys but I couldn't find him. Fortunately, a young lady called Emi who lived in the apartment downstairs with her daughter offered to help.  I asked her to find someone to clean the apartment(!!) knowing that my wife was coming in a few hours to this disaster!  (My wife and I arrived to Punta Cana on different flights on the same day.) An hour later the cleaning lady came to clean the apartment for 50 dollars plus 200 pesos for cleaning supplies.

I went out for a coffee and let the lady to clean. At the coffee shop I found out that there  were other choices than this Vacation rental disaster - I rented an appropriate place 500 yards from Eldorado. and I went back to the apartment to stop the lady from cleaning and take my luggage. The woman had already cleaned the kitchen counter and put in the laundry the bed sheets, pillowcases and some of the towels.   

The attached pictures were taken at that time and you won't see the full extend of the dirt and the disgusting look of the bed sheets and pillowcases, but you can see the urine stains on the pillows themselves, dirty towels under the bed and the one with the marks of someone cleaning their shoes and a dead bug on it. There were dead bugs all over every floor; there were a bag full of garbage in the front and the same in the waste basket in the bathroom. The toilet, the sink, mirror, the glass etc. tell the rest of the story.

 My wife took the time sending this letter to the owner Corinna Apel thinking that most likely she had no idea what was going  on at the apartment since she does not leave there. However, to our surprise her response to our request for refunding our deposit was more filthy than her apartment.   She claimed I went there with a prostitute who did not like the apartment and I went around collecting garbage to spread it throughout the place. 
I had at that time a total of 40 hours of travel and just 3 hours before my wife was arriving.

Ms. Corinna Apel's lies and outrageous stories are poor excuses to avoid giving me my money back for a service she never rendered.  This is about my $200 deposit for a vacation rental not suitable for humans, see pictures here http://www.vacation-rental.me.   Her claim "As soon as he send the reclamationform, i can handle the claim" is BS.  I have asked for my money back repeatedly and she just plays stupid.  Ms. Apel, Consider this as one more request for my money back.  Gregory Christeas, (((ROR redacted)))

Hello,

 thanks for transmitting the review of mr./ mrs. CHRISTEAS.

 As this is a pending claim, i do not understand why family CHRISTEAS try to put my name and business into bad..

 As soon as he send the reclamationform, i can handle the claim.
 This seams to be very misbehavior persons / renters named NUR CHRISTEAS and GREGORY CHRISTEAS who are not very reliable or trustful.

 I delivered the apartment in punta cana and send them a popertymanager. mr. CHRISTEAS went into the apartment without paying any deposit or rentalpayment,as my propertymanager agreed, as mr. CHRISTEAS was tiered and promised to fulfill the contract next morning,also he had no money at that moment. Aswell he turned up with some unknown women(wich was not his wife)..
 after a while he told the propertymanager that he did not like to stay in the apartment, as his wife was coming later that day. Maybe trouble with two women.

 The unknown lady was shouting arround, and putting the garbagebags from next door apartment into the rented apartment and sprayed a bottle of coca-cola over the bedding.
 Than they left the apartment in this desaster, and throw the keys on the floor in front of the feets of the propertymanager. All these was going on with a lot of shouting and agression.

 mr. CHRISTEAS do not complain to me, and did not give the propertymanager the posibility to find a way to satisfy mr. CHRISTEAS. As the propertymanager found out, mr. CHRISTEAS already had booked a different acodomation.


 My propertymanagement.and i never had such renters before, it was the first time ever. And we are doing the rentingbusiness, especcialy in bavaro/punta cana for several years.

 I am still trying to find a solution with the CHRISTEAS, but they are not very helpful. They do not answer my e-mails, to bring the reclamationform or any witnesses not beeing involved as they told me. He wrote, he has local people seeing the apartment when he was going in first time.

 I hope this letter helps to see both sides !
 If a claim is not finished,such bad things should NOT be published.
