i work for costco wholesale and even thought i have my own personal problems with the company i can tell you that if you ask to speak to to the warehouse manager he will try and get your money back just make sure you bring your credit card statement with you and he or she should have no problem giving you your money back. the main goal of this company is to give excellent customer service. i understand you are upset and i also dont know why you should have a problem getting your money back (believe you me i have seen members get there money back for things they bought 5 and 10 years ago) BTW they can always look up in the system and see the last time you made a purchase in the store if you can remember this will help you in your fight to get your money back!
