Cottage Industries Ripoff, deceptive advertising, Thieves! Orlando Florida
Frankly, I am disgusted to think that this is a company the BBB supports. I ordered from Cottage Industries because of the way they brandish their logo on every piece of literature that they send to obtain home assemblers.
Cottage Industries indicates that they believe any of their kits can be assembled in a day. There is just no way that this is true. I ordered the one drawer jewelry box. It reasonably takes 8 hours to assemble one of the boxes correctly. I took the kit to a local doll shop and this was confirmed by someone in the business. The operator told me, No one is making even minimum wage assembling these.
Further, the sample Cottage Industries sends does not meet their own specifications. There is glue all over the back of the box, something that is clearly prohibited. This information is stated again and again throughout their own assembly instructions. Even they can't produce a properly-made product.
This is nothing more than a variation on the typical work at home scam. I cannot believe that this is something that the BBB allows their logo to be used to promote.
